PathwayConnect Tuition Changes for South Africa planned for Spring Semester 2016
REXBURG, Idaho — PathwayConnect will implement a 40 percent ($12 per credit) tuition decrease for all students in South Africa, effective Spring 2016 Semester. This change will reduce PathwayConnect’s tuition in South Africa from $30 to $18 USD.
This change is in response to regular, careful consideration of local currency exchange rates, economic indicators, and in consultation with local and area priesthood leaders. Since 2012, the South African Rand has seen steady devaluation relative to the dollar, and this change will allow PathwayConnect to provide more affordable education to students in South Africa.
Since before Pathway began, the commitment to low-cost education has guided the program’s formation and growth throughout the world. This commitment has allowed tuition rates to remain low since PathwayConnect first started in Fall Semester 2009. As Pathway continues to expand and bless the lives of countless individuals, families, and communities, providing affordable educational opportunities will remain central to PathwayConnect’s guiding principles in its operations around the globe as well as in South Africa.
