Pathway Hires New Support Director

New Support director brings guidance and experience to Pathway’s Missionary Support and Student Support offices

REXBURG, Idaho — Pathway has hired Nathan Relken as its new support director, which is responsible for overseeing Student Services and Missionary Support. Relken is the former director of the Brigham Young University-Idaho Support Center.

“Because I was a first-generation college student, I love being able to relate to and help students by giving them the confidence they need to succeed,” said Relken.

This newly created role is intended to help guide the more than 100 full-time and student employees who provide personal and timely assistance to the thousands of PathwayConnect students and Church-service missionaries involved in the program.

Among the position’s responsibilities, the support director will identify and improve ways to enhance the experience of PathwayConnect students, direct students’ transition into BYU-Idaho’s online degree program, and build and maintain strong working relationships with other BYU-Idaho student services areas — including Admissions, Student Records and Registration, Disability Services, and the BYU-Idaho Support Center.
